Onward I Go

Footsteps often go silent

The wake of the moment forces a pause

Stepping off the pathway, a collection of self

Long inhales, holding as time grinds to a halt

Counting slowly, finding calm

At capacity, each moment a strain

Then plumes catch currents upon release

Drops fall to the ground, nourishing my steps

Unpausing the moment, as if it never existed

Onward I go
